About

Dr. Wright is a psychiatrist based in Dallas, Texas.  She is board-certified in adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.   She provides mental health treatment in a private and comfortable clinic setting to persons 18 years of age and older.  She is dedicated to the practice of evidence-based medicine to help those who are suffering from a wide range of problems including mood, anxiety, sleep, and memory with the goal of finding improvement in their functioning and quality of life.  This process involves meeting a potential patient, reviewing his or her life history, discussing past and present mental health symptoms, formulating a diagnosis, and, if indicated, recommending and prescribing medication.  At follow-up visits, symptoms are monitored closely and medication is managed, as needed.  Dr. Wright's primary focus is to provide safe, patient-centered care.  She understands and appreciates the importance of general wellness for one's mental health.  Through education and goal setting, an emphasis will be placed on essential aspects of life such as physical health, nutrition, exercise, and healthy coping skills.  For all patients, regardless of need for medication, Dr. Wright will provide supportive therapy and refer to a therapist if more intensive psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), family therapy or other type of therapy is also recommended.  If a patient is already working with a therapist (Ph.D., LCSW, LPC, etc.), Dr. Wright will communicate with that therapist to develop a coordinated plan for treatment.   Contact Dr. Wright at (214)-842-5512 or WrightPsychiatry@outlook.com if you are a potential patient, would like to refer a patient, or have any additional questions.

New Patients

Potential patients are encouraged to contact Dr. Wright's via email or phone to provide basic information such as name and email address.  Dr. Wright will then send an invitation to sign up for a Luminello account.  Luminello is a website that allows for the safe, HIPAA-secure creation and storage of electronic medical records.  Through Luminello, Dr. Wright will send the potential patient a pre-screen form and additional information about scheduling an initial consultation.  After the initial consult, if both Dr. Wright and the patient agree to work together, then a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.  There may be instances when Dr. Wright's treatment recommendation is a referral to another provider/clinic based on the individual's needs.

Please note:  In compliance with Texas state law, the prescription database will be reviewed for all new patients to help screen and monitor for the potential misuse of controlled substances.
